Meet working professionals in the Bay Area through good food and community service

We are a membership organization for local people of action who get together to make lasting changes throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and around the world.

We’re a weekend-model Rotary Club

We are a membership club designed for busy working professionals who want to do community service together. We host 2 to 4 events per month on weekends. Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions?

Rotary is a global network of over 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves. Over 46,000+ individual Rotary Clubs from around the world make up the Rotary network. The San Francisco Bay Area alone has over 100 Rotary Clubs. Unlike other Rotary Clubs, we are a weekend-model club. That means our club, designed for busy working professionals, primarily holds events only on weekends. The location of our events rotate every month, and we move throughout the entire San Francisco Bay Area. You can learn more about our club and members on our Instagram, and you can learn about our events on our Meetup page.

Our public events posted on our Meetup Group are free to attend, unless otherwise specified in the event description. Food and drink costs at our social events are at your own expense, but there is no entry fee. Service projects posted on our Meetup are always free to volunteer at. We do have separate fees for club membership, but anyone can attend our public Meetup events.

We do not have traditional Rotary Club meetings where you sit and listen to announcements and speakers on a weekday during lunch. Instead, all of our club events are on the weekend and are either social events or community service projects. Our mission is to bring working professionals together to meet others with shared interests and to do community service together.

All members, after being reviewed and approved by our leadership team, are responsible for attending at least two of our in-person events every year, and are responsible for being current in their $30/month membership dues. Members are also expected to check our members-only Slack workspace regularly, and expected to be people of good character. We do have a minimum age of 18 to be a member.

We’re so excited to hear you’re interested in joining our Rotary Club! We ask those interested in becoming official club members to come out to a minimum of 1 in-person events on Meetup, and to get to know at least two of our club members. Let the members you talk to know you are interested in club membership. All candidates must complete a membership application and be sponsored by two current members in order for our club’s Board of Directors to be able to review your application. You can typically expect the membership application process to take about 2 to 4 weeks. Meanwhile, you are welcome to keep coming out to our events to get to know more of the members! Once your application has been approved, you will receive an invitation to join, along with a request to complete a criminal background check. This is the final step before we welcome you as a club member!

For applicants who are approved and invited to join our Rotary Club, the membership dues are $30 per month.

The average age of our Rotary Club is 30 years old. We do have members in their early twenties, as well as members in their 50s and 60s. The majority of our membership is in their twenties, thirties, and forties. Our club was designed for working professionals of all ages, with all of our events also being family-friendly where kids are allowed.

Not exactly! There are over 46,000 Rotary Clubs around the world. In fact, most U.S. cities have, on average, 2 or more Rotary Clubs. While we all belong to Rotary International and help make up the larger Rotary network, every Rotary Club is unique and has its own culture, its own members, and its own projects. You will find our Rotary Club is different from your typical Rotary Club. Interested in learning more about our differences? Come out to any of our events and ask any of our members!
